Laurie Riedel is a Partner in TechCXO’s Finance practice and supports clients as a fractional CFO. Laurie has more than 25 years of experience as CFO for multiple early-stage from inception to exit, and a senior financial executive for enterprise-level companies.  Her strategic finance and operational skills include Mergers & Acquisitions, complex Financial Modeling, Raising Capital, Risk Assessment & Management, Financial Reporting, Audit and Tax oversight, as well as leading on issues across HR, legal and regulatory matters.

Her industry expertise extends across early-stage high-growth companies and established public and private equity organizations in the SaaS, communications equipment, manufacturing, semiconductor, and biotech industries.

During her distinguished career, her leadership positions include:

Vice President Finance, Services for UKG Inc. – Laurie led operational and financial oversight for global professional and customer services at this $5 billion global SaaS company. She oversaw budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for worldwide Services P&L while managing a staff of 20. Her achievements included successfully executing compensation plan strategies to drive performance, and she introduced KPIs that helped lead to midmarket and SMB expansion, ARR activations, and intelligence reporting.

Vice President of Finance & Administration for Plexxi Inc/HPE – As the lead financial officer, Laurie managed finance, accounting, treasury, investor relations, business systems, human resources, legal, risk management and facilities for this venture-backed startup. She led the strategic planning process, including developing 3-year business plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, and successfully drove equity and debt fundraising, securing $89 million in equity and $20 million in debt. She also had a critical role of completing and integrating Plexxi being acquired by HPE.

Senior Finance Director, Sales Controller, Kronos, Inc. – Laurie played a key role in operational initiatives with private equity investors, driving strategic changes in pricing, sales effectiveness, and channel realignment for this $1B global SaaS software and hardware company. 

Laurie began her career as CFO for Authentica, Inc. where she led finance, accounting, treasury, investor relations, human resources, legal, risk management, and facilities for this $10M risk management software company. She was instrumental in EMC’s acquisition of Authentica and the subsequent integration into EMC. She has also served as fractional CFO for Cleanfiber, Inc., a clean-tech cellulose insulation manufacturing company.

Laurie received her B.S. in Economics-Finance (Cum Laude) from Bentley College and her MBA (Top Graduate in Class) from Northeastern University.
