Catherine is adept at operating at the strategic, C-Suite and Board level, as well as implementing strategies in a “roll-up-your-sleeves,” tactical capacity.

She created strategies and implementation of Leadership Development, Talent Management, and Strategic Human Resource Planning, as well as Succession Planning, Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits and Performance Management. She also helped reduce turnover to near zero during the Great Resignation.
Founder & Chief Talent Officer, SparkWorks Talent Strategies – Catherine founded and built this firm focused on building teams and high-performance cultures. Most clients were Private Equity owned or Venture Capital backed, with a need to accelerate value creation through innovative people practices.
Head of Human Resources, IMC Financial Markets – IMC Financial Markets is one of the world’s leading proprietary trading firms and a key market maker in various products listed on exchanges throughout the world. As a member of the Management Team, Catherine spearheaded the strategy development and implementation of the firm’s human capital strategy, achieving buy-in from global stakeholders. Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago – During her Fed career, Catherine held multiple executive leadership roles and was entrusted to build employee engagement, strengthen skill development and create agile solutions to recruit and retain bank examiners, including during financial crises. In addition, she led teams as diverse as internal communications, corporate strategy, check operations and the Office of the COO.
Catherine also serves as a Board Member for Design Environments in Chicago. She began her career with Hewitt Associates. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; a Masters in HR from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
